You’re conveniently forgetting that as soon as she found out about it, she ended the relationship and proceeded to press charges. It’s different if her child told her about it and she was still with him, and believed the man instead of her child like so many other victims who suffer from sexual assault from family members or people close to the family.
If I was the kid the main thing I would be pissed about is my mom posting that recording publicly. That will follow the kid around his entire life. She should stick to the legal route because they would protect the child’s identity and if this ever gets to court his lawyers can argue that he didn’t receive a fair trial due to public opinion.

I don't know their relationship, but I would say this is a reasonable take depending on the length they were dating for, like if it was a week or so then yeah. But if it was like long term or sum and he showed no signs of that then nah, no one could predict that
