Severe mental problems doesn’t excuse crimes guys come on . I’m in no way invalidating trauma or mental health issues by saying we are accountable for our crimes and how we treat others. The same way when a mass shooting happens I don’t think mental health should serve as an excuse because someone is making an active choice . There is no way y’all are saying Ezra brain chemistry made Ezra do all these things even while people told them they were wrong and hurting them

To me it’s like those getting offended by people unknowingly saying “ him “ when many aren’t doing it to be hurtful they just don’t know or it’s reflex then under every tweet or article is arguments about respecting pronouns which is valid . While in this situation it feels like it detracts from how egregious the crimes are

Especially when you are talking about potentially dating or having s***with a teenager with violence not just during filming of flash but dumbledore too . It gets to the point of more of their costars muse have known . Get not more attempts to get them help sooner and no interview erases all that

I think wb should have canceled. Kids look up to heroes and the person you have them looking up to is an abuser

It literally legally does. What are you talking about. It’s debatable whether even sane people have real agency, but it’s pretty well understood that’s it’s hard to gauge responsibility when it comes to someone with severe issues in their brain. We should be pushing for rehabilitation.

Depends on what the diagnosis is

I didn’t know there was reason to believe he has severe brain issues and isn’t just a relatively unstable person who got rich and is being a menace. Your points are true about the responsibility gauge being complicated but most people would draw the line before things involving underaged people

He should be rehabilitated but also the movie should be scrapped, try again when rehab is complete

I think he's saying just because he has a mental disorder that it doesn't somehow make it okay for him to be a menace.

There are an infinite amount of people with mental illness who never hurt anyone, ever. While I'm sure his adds to it, this seems more like d**** than anything else.

There’s this idea that in order to not stigmatize mental illness we have to pretend randomly violent people aren’t mentally ill. It’s a ridiculous idea. 90% of these people have a frontal cortex that looks like mashed potatoes. There’s something intrinsically wrong with them and they need help. Sure you can say d**** contributed to it, but there’s clearly something wrong with the guy. His behavior isn’t normal. Sane people tend to be more calculated in their crimes.
