Witcher combat looks boring / unfun and people still love those games
Let them cook
what? saying that a game from 11 years ago also had bad combat isn't a defense
as time has gone on the issues with the witcher 3's combat have become even more apparent. i played through the witcher 3 this year and the poor combat was one of my major criticisms with the game. if that's the quality of combat this game is bringing in 2027 then it's a problem

Think the point they were getting at is Fable combat has never been life changing. Its been quite basic. Witcher 3 people consider a great game even if combat kind of lacks. Because often we are there for choice and interactivity. Combat looks alright but sure gets better throughout the game with more abilities.
I get you though an issue with all hand to hand combat games is best showcasing what makes their combat different be it Fable, Control Resonant , wolverine its kind of tough to fully believe what games show vs getting hands on.

there's a very wide gap between subpar and life changing. it doesn't have to be a soulslike or genre defining, it just has to be engaging and fun, which from what i've seen so far, it isn't. we all got different tastes, so i get combat might not be as big of a deal for others, but i still find it disappointing

Oh yeah its 100% fair I was disapointed in Wolverine combat so I get it. Firing arrows, throwing swords , damage responding to where you hit enemies. But will take seeing more to see if it can hold a whole game. So far out of whats dropping
Phantom Blade
Resonant
wolverine = Fable in wanting to see more ofcombat.
