And if you read this it basically says they are not banning him because he was young when it happened. Not that he did not do it.

And let’s not forget that young in this case means 18 and a legal adult

He should be a s***offender. He doesn’t have to register because of a technicality and the fact he has money

Youth crime is not a technicality But then again the US has a weird way of handling juvenile crime IMO because they still trial them as adults sometimes even if they are juvenile, which disproportionately affects the poor and minorities.

In a lot of countries you will be trialed as a minor until age 18 and then, depending on your maturity, either as a minor or an adult until age 21. The US has different rules though.

Regardless, wasn't 69 17 years old during his crime?

What would you prefer we call someone convicted of felony sexual misconduct with a minor? Child molester sounds apt, right?

Yes Facebook is a private owned company with rights.

The argument is if the power of Facebook platforms to limit the freedom of speech since speech is now conducted primarily online for the majority of people

The internet is public but the platforms hold the power of gathering.

    Idk its complicated

I was under the assumption he was 17, which he claimed, but apparently he was 18 at the time. If that's the case, then I wonder why he counts as a youth. I don't know NY law enough to tell you that.
