Battles are probably the most accessible. Tomahawk’s drummer John Stanier (who was also in Helmet in the 90’s) has been in that band since the early/mid-00’s. This singer isn’t with them anymore but this is their big song:

The guitarist/founder/primary songwriter of Tomahawk, Duane Denison, played guitar in the Jesus Lizard from the late 80’s to the late 90’s. They were great and have gotten back together for tours and shows but have yet to record anything new.

The Cows, the band Tomahawk’s original bassist Kevin Rutmanis was in, are an acquired taste.

Battles was a huge band when that song came out, there was so much talk about it. P4k even gave them AOTY I think
