    u didn't ask me but

    Jackie Brown
    Kill Bill
    The Hateful Eight
    Inglourious Basterds
    Pulp Fiction
    Django Unchained
    Death Proof
    Reservoir Dogs
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Liking Jackie Brown the most is even more boring than liking Pulp Fiction the most (which is still correct)

MMLP response is slightly over the top though, let's be real. He constantly makes fun of people on MMLP and defends his own use of the slurs... but SSLP has close to no homophobic slurs so waht is he responding to? MMLP before its release? It's a self manufactured "response". SSLP had some blatant sexism and violence towards women and also was lowkey and an album full of mental struggles, but close to no homophobia and that was the biggest response on MMLP

It doesn’t matter if it was manufactured or exaggerated. It was a massive cultural moment. People who don’t even listen to rap were buying it just to see what all the fuss was about.

Crumb but it had way less to do with David Lynch and more to do with Zwigoff probably being the closest thing Crumb had to friend and allowed him to get personal and into his space.

Correct. I just brought him producing it in my review because it was appropriate. Zwigoff rocks. I love Ghost World.

terrible, especially compared to his debut or the show

show has zero replay value for me and sslp only a few tracks. mmlp always gets me. easily his strongest.

not a hard feat though with such a garbage filled discog. SSLP is the only other answer.

still better than Wu-Tang's without solo, Nas, Mos Def etc..

I've never really fully delved into Nas's discog. I've always thought his beat selection was poor so you may have a point.

And it's not even a good comparison to compare a group of 8 to a solo artist lol, Wu will always be the best, group records in rap are the hardest to make, and Wu surpassed any before them with their debut and have not been passed by any group or artist since (besides maybe Ye imo). Nobody is mad at the underwhelming Wu records nowadays because at least they arent cringe fest compared to Eminem 2004-present lol.

Black on Both Sides >> MMLP
    Ecstatic >> SSLP

Mos def is 2 for 4, not great but if you add Black Star it's 3 for 5. He's moved on to completely different things and didn't oversaturate his discog with garbage. He made up for New Danger and True Magic with Ecstatic

Eminem is what... 3 for like 13? maybe 4 for 13? I've lost track of how many bad albums he's released. The more bad albums he makes and the farther we get from MMLP, less and less people will care that he had a couple good albums over a 4 year period. We can;t keep allowing MMLP and SSLP to make up for continuous s*** especially when even his best work has shoddy shock driven replay value

36 Chambers one of raps 3 or 4 highest zeniths

would have thought this was blasphemous even when i was 14 and MMLP had just came out and i was full em stan and he was the elvis of my generation

    now that i think of it, for my music life;

    em - elvis
    wu - stones
    outkast - beatles
    kanye - dylan

  • Sep 16, 2020

applicable cause of how hard evis and eminem fell off

if em pulls off a comeback on the tier of elvis in '68 i will s*** my pants

BoBs holds a special place in my heart because it was the first album I ever bought along with Late Registration. Love every song on it but I don't think it even touches 36 chambers tbh.
