the Ink Spots is the oldest group i like. still not too big on late 50s rock. Buddy Holly had some cool singles

I'm currently still stuck on 57 so I'll probably make a list (Top 10 to 20) for each year of the 50s at one point.

Johnny B Goode and Big Mama Thornton's Hound Dog my picks for songs of the decade thus far.

yeah i just decided to post my own lists in op for now since im not getting enough votes to bother counting would still be very interested in seeing yours

JBG definitely top 5 of the decade but im too much of a Buddy stan to even give it best of '58 :ohno: Rave On goes too hard

and tbh i might give Hound Dog #1 song of the decade... but not Big Mama's version :ohno:

    shocked there's no

he could probably be runner up for most of the mid 80s years i think

im not as big of a fan of his guitar playing as some are though. love him ofc but hes not one of my absolute favorites in that aspect alone. and some of his more is definitely more guitar focused than others so its difficult to put him as absolute best for one singular year, vs considering him across all his work. if that makes sense
