i regret to report that Led Zeppelin has grown off me considerably. i thought the opposite would happen as i got into more hard rock+underground s*** of the same style but they really don't stand out very much other than the fact that they had a run of 7 good/great albums which no one else in the genre can say. Physical Graffiti is the best imo and really great but I'd still stop short of calling it a masterpiece

Plant's voice just sucks to me now ngl Page a solid guitarist but nothing incredible

Yeah Graffiti has by far the most REPLAY VALUE

deep purple in rock is a masterpiece and rivals any top hard rock album ever made imo

in rock -> fireball -> machine head some of the best stuff in the genre and most archetypal. best vocalist too

definitely their most mature and developed imo. i think its pretty consistent too, only a few songs on the last side are a bit subpar

yes they groove more but in return hit considerably less hard

Moon's style isnt really supposed to groove like that its supposed to f***ing bang. and i feel like Entwistles more prominent "lead" bass style is just lessy groovy style (not in a bad way ofc)
