If that’s your example, I might as well pick Kraftwerk
Also ‘70 - ‘74 David > Berlin trilogy
stardust is his best album and diamond dogs is a personal fav but i don’t really listen to much else from that era like i do from station to station to scary monsters
trio of bowie albums in late 70’s, i’d consider the height of his creative output. consists of heroes, low, and lodger. i’d lump iggy pop’s “the idiot” in there too just bc the sonic similarities, time it was written, produced by bowie.
Ehh nah

Station To Station famously the zenith
writing a research paper for my application into this music program about the berlin trilogy so my mind is stuck on bowie rn tbh
Nice he's definitely a top 5 goat for me
Old enough to have caught his last tour
was transcendent
to me it matters less how many hands were on the records. it’s all about the final output. all of those guys without a doubt would say none of it would be possible without bowie. at the end of the day most of these guys added onto already written tracks by bowie.
it’s like discrediting mccartney and lennon’s writing chalking it up to martin. george martin helped bring the ideas to life, but t there is no “song” without them. bowie was an immensely talented that knew exactly what people he needed to flesh out an idea.
if these guys didn’t talk so fondly of bowie’s writing then maybe, but it simply isn’t the case. eno played a HUGE part, but there’s a reason why bowie and eno’s work is drastically different than other eno collaborations at the time (specifically thinking of his great record with david byrne)
Bowie without Visconti and Eno would probably have just been another Bolan... which wouldn't have been a bad thing but the communal process definitely helps dudes like Beatles, Bowie, Kanye etc hit otherwise unachievable heights
Doom, no f***ing way man
this is f***ing insane
RIP
top abums of 2020

Nice to see The Strokes getting some love in here. Any of these others you’d think I’d dig?
R.I.P. MF DOOM. Really terrible news. At least the masked villain himself went out on Halloween apparently.
Playing this gem in his honor.

Didn't keep many 2020 albums in my rotation but
Dylan easy #1
Grimes
Charli
Strokes
... heard more but it wasn't memorable
