new Nick Cave and Warren Ellis joint, im guessing its just a side project but ill take it.. Didn't dig that last one.
damn I need to listen to this
Yo wtf this is kinda lit @Koala
Cave snapped on these lyrics
"A protester kneels on the neck of a statue
The statue says "I can't breathe"
The protester says "Now you know how it feels"
And he kicks it into the sea..."
"...I'll shoot you all for free
If you evеr think about coming 'round here
I'll shoot you in the f***ing facе
If you think of coming around here"
and that outro

I used to be really into French music and just world music in general. (still am I guess)
kinda sucks though not knowing someone to guide me through those worlds. I have to discover it all by myself and I feel like sometimes I only scratch the surface.

🤝 i gotchu my g
def reco you christophe last album
song gives me chills:

there’s a song on it titled lou in homage to lou reed which he sampled lou reed
that might be the best Cave I've heard since Skeleton Tree
The bass on that song goes hard too haha tbh I dont really know what to expect with the album but its getting a lot of love.
Insane how Nick is still getting better with age, trying new things and staying productive. My Goat.

hell yeah dude. love to see veteran goats still outputting good music late in their career.
Now I just want a new Tom Waits album is that so much to ask
time to dig into this Springsteen quintuple live album :work:
too much crowd noise
Smh
its good tho
just annoying to me to hear a lot audience noise during the actual song. i dont want to hear some dudes whistle in the quiet part of racing in the street etc
i rather have a little bit of quiet audience compared to audience roar at start and end of every song

all live performances are like this
even for the most introverted musicians

You ever read any of Nick's novels ? Its been a minute but they were p good. Bunny Monroe is a dark comedy type, kinda reminded me of Palahniuk. and The Ass Saw the Angel is a dark southern gothic, like a book version of The First Born is Dead.

It's on my list of things to do. Cave's literary influences really interest me so I'm curious to see how they influence his novels.
Which would you recommend starting with? I really love Southern Gothic like Faulkner, O'Connor etc.

And the Ass Saw the Angel is your best bet if your into southern gothic. Its still raw Nick Cave since it came out in the 80's but you know the influences and talent is completely there.

This guy did a really good review of the book
Bunny Monroe is more fun and an easy read.
