It’s hard to know which stocks are right. All these memes about GameStop and AMC have kinda disrupted the entire market
My advice would be to keep up to date with news surrounding the market because that really will inform you which stocks are doing well.
Personally, I’ve been really into ARK funds and investing in companies they invest into for the past 6-7 months but AMC/GameStop kinda threw that into a loop so now I’m kinda mixing around.
But yeah I disagree massively about the stock market not being a great way to make some money. I literally made nearly triple my income last year off the market by getting in when covid hit

i mean even if some of these volatile stocks are too risky for you to get involved in, you could easily invest in a company like google or amazon, which essentially just plays out like you're investing in a slightly higher return bond.
Historically, the market has had a 10% rate of growth so whether you gain or lose in the short term, you will end up making money just by holding.
