Never A Dull Moment
@RVI not bad but Rod definitely getting a little too much studio time on his hands... that Dylan cover did not need that accordion and the Hendrix cover did not need bongos lol

Their Plowing Into the Field of Love joint got a heavy Nick Cave vibe. Some of their best written stuff too

yeah i didnt really f*** with that one
i guess there were some alright tracks but still felt like a step down and decided not to listen to anything else. especially since Smiler seems to be agreed as a huge misstep

hmm i need to check it out then
when i listened to some of their other stuff it kinda just struck me as uninteresting Nick Cave worship with a bad vocalist

Yeah I just had to fill out his classic era
Heard the Dylan cover was amazing but it's just nice. A personal fave Dylan song so nobody gonna top his version to me anyway. Nico's I'll Keep it With Mine still up there with the best Byrd and Hendrix covers of Dylan.
Never thought Showbiz would make my 90’s list but it probably will. After listening to a lot of their horrible albums going back to that was like incredible cause all of their worst impulses are restrained perfectly with production by John Leckie who worked on The Bends holding it all together and making their actually interesting distinctions as a band shine.

All Along the Watchtower is the only Dylan cover I prefer to the original I think
