woman in the dunes has been on my watchlist for like 2 years cause i liked face of another.
Why are we letting 16 year olds have opinions?
I was talking to a coworker bout his son and had to laugh when he said he "negotiates" with a 5 year old bout doing stuff.. Dude told me "he's still a person"
hm: danny brown
this joint for me came n went real fast for me.. the only song I remember is the last one.
cool we’ll be waiting on that
i feel you, honestly i felt like this year was kinda weak for rock. there’s a good bit of hip hop releases i enjoyed, but i feel like this was the strongest year for pop music in a long time. kinda pointing towards a revitalization of the genre in the new decade
tbh I think I enjoyed more rock releases from this year than in the past few overall (National, glass beach, oso oso, black midi, fontaines DC, Vampire weekend, sakanaction, etc.) but I think yeah pop def had a very good year. I think pop, r&b/soul and rock prob will make up most of my list.
Melissa>EP1>EP2>MAGDALENE>LP1
i’d go
Magdalene > EP2 > M3LI55X > EP1 > LP1
i’d go
Magdalene > EP2 > M3LI55X > EP1 > LP1
going with that but switch ep1 with melissa

his most polished and concise effort tbh. you can tell he was really tryna branch out/gain fans with this one. i love it
going with that but switch ep1 with melissa
yeah that was a tough choice for me considering i started listening to her when all she had was the two EPs, Melissa just has so many good songs on there
Honeymoon
somthin with laurel canyon vibes, good strings, nice vocal melodies preferably female

honestly the National is one of my fav bands, but I Am Easy to Find is my least favorite album by them. i still enjoy it (it’s right in the middle of my aoty list) but the drop off in quality from even just their last one is so apparent to me. i don’t really like how they tried to be super collaborative on this one and include a bunch of random vocalists, and i also think it’s maybe 15 minutes too long. the highs on the album are insane tho, title track never left rotation
as far as other rock releases go i really enjoyed that new Oso Oso as well (glad to see it get some love), Alex G’s House of Sugar, and CHAI’s PUNK. oh and the new Sleater-Kinney is awesome, but, like The National, probably their worst album overall.
oh and i don’t have Ghosteen on my list cuz i’ve only heard it in full like twice, but man i LOVE that album. maybe after another listen i’ll rank it, def will be somewhere near the top. what an insane album

Highkey have admired his last 5-6 projects more than i like em
cave in - final transmission
tomb mold - planetary clairvoyance
cattle decapitation - death atlas
darkthrone - old star
banks - iii
sulli - goblin
there's still stuff I need to listen to. nile, blood incantation.. jesu's supposed to be putting out a new album.
Those Tomb Mold and Cattle Decap albums are incredible

for real? i can understand that maybe with Dig and Push the Sky, but Skeleton Tree and Ghosteen are right up there with his classics imo. and it’s dope how they’re like 2 sides of the same coin. they’re both so concerned with death but Skeleton Tree got those dissonant and ugly almost apocalyptic vibes, and Ghosteen just feels like crossing the threshold to Heaven.
Dude just casually chopping up a giant squid in his kitchen

imagine that texture of the insides

As much as I like Skeleton Tree and Ghosteen, they don't hold a candle to peak Cave from 83-90 imo
I love when Clint uses those earth tone color palette for his movies.. Might peep the new one this week
