Guess I’m the only one who’s firm in my belief that 2001 is better than The Chronic. That being said Chronic almost made my list.

Nah im with you, just heard the hits a thousand times

I agree as well although Stranded on Death Row is probably the hardest song on either album

i prefer 2001

I agree with that.
And even tho I defend and still like the first couple Em records I do think he was better suited as like this irreverent jester character that pops up every once in a while in short bursts. Dre made the best use of him on 2001.
i like The Chronic more
If I’m gonna listen to that era of Dre I prefer Doggystyle for that

i prefer depressed/old Eminem with occasional goofiness to the Shady era stuff
"Kill You" is his best song overall though
Chronic >>>
and not even close for me, i dont even like 2001 very much tbh. dont keep it in my library
im never going to just sit around and put on Still Dre or Forgot About Dre. and life is too short to sit through all those hittman verses

Nah man I love 2001, a true timeless classic that will forever sound fresh. The whole thing is like a west coast block party paying homage to the original Chronic
Shut up s***, you're causin' too much chaos
Just bend over and take it like a s***, okay Ma!?
"Oh, now he's raping his own mother, abusing a w****
Snorting coke, and we gave him the Rolling Stone cover?"
You god damn right, b****, and now it's too late
I'm triple platinum and tragedies happen' in two states
I invented violence, you vile venomous volatile b****es
Vain Vicodin, vrinn vrinn, vrinn
Texas Chainsaw, left his brains all
Danglin' from his neck, while his head barely hangs on
Blood, guts, guns, cuts
Knives, lives, wives, nuns, s***s

Nah it's great if you get what he was going for
It's like "here if you want me to be edgy I'll be edgy, d***heads"

damn no love for F*** You, Xxplosive, What's the Difference, Next Episode, Housewife
I always saw Eminem albums like comedy albums. If you listen to them and get serious emotions out of it you're kind of a dumbass.

Recovery and everything after is really bad tho

I liked the first song on MMLP2 and that video he did with Sasha Grey
cringe
It reads worse than it actually plays out. His bouncy flow makes this pop in context.

Rock Bottom still kinda hits pretty hard on an emotional level

He had his serious moments, just like a lot of comedians do
As for new darker/mature Eminem can't say I'm much of a fan but the hate on him is lame. The guy is insanely talented and when he's actually pissed off (like when he ripped MGK) he shreds.

That was the only song of his I liked in years.

I'd say the hate is justified, dude hasn't been able to craft a decent album in almost 2 full decades, even though he is still talented enough to rip MGK to shreds. Send some of that energy to your album making bruh.
And I was just f***ing around. "Kill You" is one of his best.

Some people say MGK actually held his own and could have went his way
