miss that smiley
Fr. They need to add it
Pretty much the whole album except for Selah and Hands On
My faves are Everything We Need, Follow God, and Jesus Is Lord (and Use This Gospel). Me and my husband literally walk around our house singing to "oooh oooh oooh oooh" part of Everything We Need all the time haha.
Closed on Sunday is probably the other really mid song i rarely ever play, cause its really only worth listening to for the ending switch up
Damn didn't know you were a JiK fan, that s*** still ass to me
come to life, off the grid, hurricane, pure souls
Really enjoy Pure Souls tbh, one of my favs.
Roddy sounds great on there.

Not even the instrumental side of it?

what are top 3 kanye records rise?
Maybe I just wasn’t into kanye much at the time of its release but JIK does nothing for me. I like a few individual songs but any single song on Donda blows anything on that album out of the water for me

Follow God nice though, God Is too but I agree.

I didn't like anything except for Follow God and Use This Gospel for the longest time after it came out
But over the past year I started listening to it more and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought. It's not amazing or anything, but it's got some solid stuff on it. Which is a lot more than I can say about Ye lol
I actually like Donda so much during these first listens because so many songs remind of little things and vibes from JIK, but a lot more fleshed out.
I also have a bit of a soft spot for JIK's "Every Hour" intro too. I deadass had a Hank Hill "it's all toilet sounds" reaction when I first heard it, but that s*** worked it way into my head and i found myself humming it work and listening to it in the mornings
am i a bad person for disliking the album name
i just dont like how "donda" sounds
I dont mind the album title
I just dont like how "Donda Chant" sounds

Easily.
Except for one or two on donda
Follow God nice though, God Is too but I agree.
Forgot to put God Is on my list too. That ones great

Damn you type fast lol ill never get used to that
"God Breathed" a huge grower and I think its transitioning to "Off the Grid" is genius. Lulls you out with the repetitive, entrancing humming and before you know it Carti is screaming in your ear and Fivio is delivering verse of the year.
It's like if Eno transitioned from an ambient piece into something like "Third Uncle". I f***in love it
That Baby Keem and Kendrick song is prettty ass ngl
yea surprised by how bad it is. Was expecting at least something after that feature but naah. Song is a clusterfuck.

"Amazing brother / pop off only on occasion, brother"
Damn you type fast lol ill never get used to that
I went through grade school using Sidekicks and Blackberrys (RIP BBM). Typing on these little ass keyboards is just muscle memory at this point haha
JIK imo has some of his most intriguing ideas in recent times but it sounds as if he took every bit of breathing space and complex structure out of it and made a sped up collage. As if you're reading a very short plot summary of a film on wikipedia.

Yeah this is a good summary. It's very packed. Not necessarily dense or complex, but like he was just doing whatever came to him and wanted it all on the album
