slowly digesting time out of mind and roughy and rowdy atm

I don't know i consider lyrical spirit a thing but if there is one person that shaped the decade even the Beatles moved in his wake

The way he transformed lyrical expression, instilled a political conscious and a punk sense of purpose into music that went way beyond the hippies to the clash U2 etc and also the fact that he was the first one to take things back to basics when psych took over. Big Pink gets credit but Basement Tapes was the thing.

yeah that sounds like the lyrical spirit to me not saying he didnt shape decade though but it always seems like lyrics are the most important thing for him, which i just haven't yet accepted as one of my favorite parts of music in general. fully acknowledge him as a genius though obviously and really think that as I get older I'll appreciate him more and more.

still can't get behind the idea of calling any rebellious or political rock music punk or punk-esque though. especially not for some music that has many elements that are basically opposite to punk. dont care how angry he was at a heckler

and yeah Big Pink gets credit over basement tapes for that because...it was the one people actually heard. obviously dylan was responsible for their entire thing though but also not sure if basement tape stuff would have had the same impact immediately because people wouldn't have been as ready for it. i feel like a lot of people would hear basement tape stuff and not know quite what to do with it because of the maximum authentic uncompromising rootsiness even if they appreciated it. definitely impenetrable for a pop listener in 1967-68

    Then this

wym, i meant that FZ would have 1 in the 60s list placing above Dylan (Hot Rats), but then Blonde on Blonde would also be in the top 20 ahead of any other FZ

but also I subjectively enjoy some FZ albums more than other albums but wouldnt place them quite as high in a decade list just because i don't think they're better. Like Freak Out! I enjoy more currently than Highway 61 but can't justify placing it above it at all

gta v kinda fumbled with the multiplayer for me. 4 free roam was so chaotic with all the weapons and pick ups scattered all around, created so much carnage with everyone running for rpgs and the super car spawns

remember playing v when it first came out had kids yelling at me for blowing up their car like wtf lmao

4 multiplayer in its heyday was probably the most fun I had with a game along with Halo 3 multiplayer. S*** was super chaotic I had a little crew too when I played team deathmatch. S*** was

Motherfuckers would bully you with that black helicopter

Yeah that game sucked. I’m more of a Temple and Nova guy but I still root for Penn State and they would’ve won easily if Clifford didn’t get injured.
