“Basic Malick” is an oxymoron
"Basic Malick" >>> any other Malick tbh.. dude lost the simple warmth of his early films, now his shots look plastic and fixed.. :keefnah:

Next time I'm in Germany we're fist fighting over your ranking boiled potato ass Turin Horse over The Master
Parasite was great but all these instant additions of it (and Irishman and OUATIH) to the best of the decade lists are a little hasty
@Aruji think you can fit in a plug sesh before the new year?
perhaps in the new year. sorry :/ I have several night shifts ahead of me.

Rarely seen the slow cinema style being this in line withwhat the film wants to show like in Turin Horse. The film is extremely devastating.
I still like The Master but my admiration of it waned over time. However, I might need a rewatch.

Perhaps yes to Parasite when it comes to my list but the film blew me away.
I've seen Once Upon a time in Hollywood three times now so naw about that one.

i liked it but there jut wasnt enough mystery to it like werkmeister etc. its was just the dad the daughter and the boiled potatoes. zama however was an extremely nice surprise, exactly the type of slow film i wanna see. gonna rewatch this week.

wouldn't even disagree. This is the reason why I rank Satantango and Werckmeister higher.
Parasite deserves the praise it gets
it (and the others mentioned) is still in theatres and already all over people top films of the decade lists
that is not marinating

Is your avatar from GRIS?
Films/ music/ games etc released in 2019 feel weird to put on an end of decade list... even 2018 at least has a little bit of time to judge its personal impact over time...
Yes
Cool. Ive had it for a while but I havent played it yet. Just bought it cause I liked the art style.

It's a really beautiful game (i haven't finished it yet)
Very linear but it works for the way the story builds considering the concept of the game. Not a challenging game at all but super fun if you wanna just play a game without any stress
