Idk what to tell ya broski
I'm nostalgic my youth and you're empathetic for the troubled fellas
it's just as good, I just think of those four as the "newer" PTA era. DDL, Joaquin, Greenwood...more linked
Glad hes keeping his mature phase spicey with things like IV and LP
Aruji the only person on my LB that gave The Return less than 4.5

LP this month

I love it but still think it drags here and there. I know it's some sort of metacommentary at times but it's not really in line with the major themes of the show devaluing some of it's impact imo. It's close to 4.5 tho
don't think so
oh the 26th is the limited
jonny's got three soundtracks going this year good for him

looking a bit more forward to the 70s tunes were gonna get in LP though
@Koala @Riffwanker man that Derrick Henry injury sucks. The Titans were looking like contenders
Really sucks
Exactly

Something like this feels more biblical than anything his later films try to reach.

Acting like he didn't transcend to Malick's level with TWBB if not PDL
Their styles are too different. Paul is very narrative focused and Terry operates purely from his id.

Yeah me neither.
Watched Shaun of the Dead over the weekend though
New Edgar Wright film looks like the Anti Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Playing up a ton of cinematic reference points but telling you you’re bad for enjoying them.

Terry used to be narrative focused and Master a pretty clear case of Paul letting it go
their styles are not so different that it makes it hard to say tthey're on the same level
These last handful of Paul masterpieces were made during the stage in his life where Terrence was doing nothing but watching birds all day or whatever so we'll see who matures more with a more refined craft
Malick came back with TTRL at 59 and Paul still only 51
Yeah me neither.
Watched Shaun of the Dead over the weekend though
hope he goes back to small scale British flicks cause he is not a Hollywood director
