I think his voice compliments the spaciousness of the instrumentation. I like his voice a lot but I can totally see not digging it on earlier records, but on Disintegration I can’t imagine it with anyone else. A song like Lullaby where his voice is pulled back and kind of shyly whispered works really well.

Hopefully that grows on me even more. It’s very ambitious and It’s All Coming Back To Me Now is one of the best pop ballads of all time. Sucks the album isn’t on streaming.

one of the greatest songs of all time right here. Over the top done right. Never liked Meatloaf but love Jim Steinman's production (R.I.P.). Hearing this album for the first 4-5 years ago changed my life.

I had a weird instinctual feeling this album would be great. Bought a CD on discogs and didn't listen at all til I got the CD. One of my greatest purchases.

I think I first heard it a couple years ago but it was definitely your recommendation that drew me towards it.
