Layne's vocals on this version
still crazy how that monstrous voice was coming from such a small guy lol
S***s great better than Nirvana’s and that ones dope too
the meat puppets covers >>>>
Jesus Doesn't Want for a Sunbeam is legendary too
see i would feel the same if their new albums didnt stink lol
i thought Black Gives Way to Blue was solid tbh, better than I expected. havent heard the later ones though
some of those songs I can appreciate as true alice in chains songs similar to the earlier ones with Jerry on lead like Over Now
this is heat

i hope some real ones join me in voting Meat Puppets II for the 80s list
iirc meat puppets II was on mine
Great record
might crack my top 10
havent been listening to him at all but briefly talked about him with my dad yesterday so maybe thats why
Why not at all?
thought he was one of the bigger discographies you were working through

i am never continuously listening to an artist every month. im going through his discog slowly, im on Chrome Dreams II (jumping around) but havent listened to it in a month or two. next time i inevitably go through a big Neil phase ill go crazy and listen a ton, will probably get through a few new albums
too busy binging on late 70s-80s hard rock and heavy metal atm.
Scorpions a S tier hard rock band btw, they clicked so hard
how's Fly to the Rainbow going?

FTTR and In Trance were amazing
Virgin Killer not hitting

Virgin Killer is great too imo, but its probably the 2nd weakest of their prime 8 album run. next 2 are better for sure (and heavier)
In Trance and Taken by Force probably my top 2 atm
Tokyo Tapes 1978 live album is also really great and I'd recommend it after Taken by Force to cap off the Uli Jon Roth era
at first i thought the vocals on this one were so s***ty but then I realized theyre charmingly s***ty and it makes it a unique banger. live version gnarlier though

for some reason Fly to the Rainbow took a while to sink in but once it did it had me like
its great how it retains some psychedelia
Glad to hear it
Did you check out those Neil Young rekkids I was telling you about? Tonight's The Night and On The Beach

On the Beach, yeah. I dig it.
Need time to let it marinate though
