but tbh I don't think its that big of a deal for Dylan albums like it is for Beatles. i keep both around and listen to either depending on my mood, i dont think the stereo is bad at all. like i wouldn't say that you haven't really heard the "true" album because you havent heard in mono

being such a stan though you might notice some differences that I wouldnt. mostly just certain instruments being emphasized slightly more than others depending on which mix

im in the mood to check out the differences since were on '66

i feel like if i went through the tracks picking which version i like better, itd be like 50% stereo 50% mono

strangely though i think i remember myself thinking the Highway 51 stereo was better than Blondes even though it was earlier

im curious to see if Bobby Greggs majestic drums on One Of Us Must Know get any more

iirc its just one of the cases of slightly more clarity vs. more directness and all the instruments gloriously combining together in more of an aural stew. like you might dislike that the drums might have less clarity in mono but like how they synergize better with everything else
