I'll be honest I've only watched a very small amount of the show but isn't he like a textbook sociopath? Sociopaths can still feel some empathy.

They usually don’t cry over horses and form emotional bonds with almost every person they encounter for more than a day. I don’t get why he’s even called a sociopath. Why cause he kills people? Not everybody in the mob is a sociopath. Sociopathy isn’t just someone who can commit cold hearted crimes. It’s a real physical deformity in the brain. It’s basically a busted frontal lobe.

I think you may be underestimating what sociopaths and possibly even psychopaths are capable of, but to be fair I don't know much about the show so I can't really argue any further than that.

How many times have you seen the show? Cause almost the entirety of S6 (Tony being as terrible as he can without care) proves you wrong

It’s kinda silly that sociopathy and psychopathy have just become code for “bad person”.

Yeah the idea that Tony was this emotionless soulless sociopath that cared about no one is pretty silly and contradictory to what the whole show was about

You want to see a real full blown sociopath, watch any interview with Ted Bundy.

In fact that's what someone who doesn't know Tony at all, like Dr. Elliott would label him. Watching the show you get to see a multi-dimensional character. Yes he has flaws and he's a criminal but has plenty of good moments too.

You ever watch "The Iceman" Richard Kuklinski interviews? This guy was also a clear sociopath and contract killer for the mafia. Really interesting stuff on a cold blooded person

I think more characters in the show are narcissistic than socio/psychopathic.

i was talking about Ted Bundy I really haven't watched that much of the show. Joe Pesci's character in Goodfellas is another good example

but that's another thing about being a sociopath/psychopath, from what I read they tend to lie and blow s*** out of proportion. Like he fell in love with his own legend with the body count rising.

Idk if I believe everything he said but I wouldn't be the one to test him

He definitely lied about a lot of s***. A lot of mob guys from that era have called him out on it. Was still a psycho killer though, his brother was too.

Yeah it's crazy the different ways that s*** manifests. it seemed like the iceman mfer was embellishing his s*** and really proud of his killings where as someone like Jeffery Dahmer didn't seem like ever embellished his victim count or took pride in it. Then again Dahmer raped murdered and ate his victims so at the end of the day who is more wicked? The one who killed and took pride in his killings or the one who simply killed for intense gratification.
