I wonder if Sacha Baron Cohen is a fan because Borat feels inspired a bit by Freddy
They don’t even get it now at a large scale. That movie was on over 2 thousand theaters for almost 5 weeks.
It’s crazy how influential it was. I doubt you’d have Eric Andre, Tim & Eric, Million Dollar Extreme, Wonder Showzen, and a number of weirdo internet content without it. Even Smiling Friends owes a bit to Tom Green.

Tom was putting in a lot of work beforehand. I think his show on MTV was super popular. But that movie raised the bar on what the future of comedy looked like. Damn shame Fox wouldn’t release a blu-Ray of it before getting bought by Disney
Fateful Findings a classic
This and I Am Here... Now and Double Down.
That and Eastern Promises are both so good
fave Cronenberg? toss up between The Brood and Naked Lunch for me

Dropping this in 1994 is wild.

that album cover is so 80s in the best possible way

Sacha was gonna play Freddie in the movie but dropped out cause he wanted to show the crazy parties and all the debauchery and s*** and Queen.. didnt. His movie would've been a lot cooler.

!https://youtube.com/watch?v=-5XaoWYoKfM&feature=shareI don’t know what the f*** was in Canada’s water but Tom Green and Kids in the Hall are responsible for so many careers. This is from ‘90

@RASIE bro, if I see one more person say J. Cole is in the big four of rap from last decade instead of Future, I might go postal
his "best" project is still the warm up

I mean the Tom Green movie Freddy got Fingered. Some scenes in Borat feel influenced.

Exactly. He’s aggressively mediocre. A substitute for people too lazy to find any non-mainstream rappers to listen to.
when Rise finally jumps on SY like he did with.... Converge!!
i'll always associate rise with him geeking out over their cover of Disintegration
and anything Neurosis

knew a film student who dressed and had hair like these guys, and only listened to post punk
he was the worst student in our major.
