My favorite album of his in years. It balances everything he’s ever done really well. I actually am someone who digs Feet of Clay more than Some Rap Songs but even then I was getting a bit tired of that stylistic shift from the heavy darkness he was tapping into before. I always said he made something you could call “sludge rap” with some of Doris and I Don’t Like S*** and I was disappointed to see him move away from that into what everybody else seems to love. It’s a sound I find harder to pin down. I thought it was interesting for sure but he’s managed to mesh it with what he was doing before and even before that. Like I said, it’s a bit of everything without feeling disjointed.

That New Order discussion a couple days ago was very enlightening. Inspired me to re-listen to a couple of their albums to see if my perspective has changed.

Hopefully you enjoy some of them more. If not, it’s no big deal. We all have different taste.

My 80s list is done but there are about five albums on there I’m not completely sure about. I’m scrambling to see if there’s anything else I’m missing so I’m just adding them to my quene.

I don’t know why I even bother checking on anything new they do, it’s morbid curiosity or something, but the new Muse song is so f***ing bad. It’s like an Imagine Dragon’s track with a corny metal core breakdown and a recycled melody for the chorus that sounds like it was twisted to be an anti bullying song in a children’s movie.

I never listened to them but damn ether

I still think their early stuff can be really good.
