Kinda iffy on the vocals.

Titanic Rising is a brilliant Baroque Pop album.
Kinda iffy on the vocals.
ah, you ever heard her music before? she’s using the very top of her register without going falsetto through most of the song, so i guess it’s a lil whinier than most her usual vocals. peep this one fam, my other fav:

lol it is so boring to me man. some decent lyrics and melodies here and there, but it’s hella overproduced and long so it makes me feel like i’m suffocating when listening

you right! i’ve always really enjoyed the intro, Confused, Wedding Tux, and the title track.

I love the overproduction though, gives it cinematic like sound. Tbh that's how a lot of Baroque pop is so I understand the gripe.
Yeah this sounds a lot better, beautiful track.
now that i’ve hooked ya you gotta peep her albums, she got 4 indie/singer songwriter CLASSICS

Which one should I start with?

ah yeah i feel that, i actually prefer a more stripped down/minimal sound in music these days so yeah overproduction is a huge turnoff
Which one should I start with?
hmmm that’s a tough one... the one that made me a huge fan/her breakout album is her second one Cerulean Salt, so i guess give that one a shot. 🤝
her newest one, Out in the Storm, is a nice refinement/progression of her sound with the highest production value in her discog tho, so i’d check that one if you find yourself becoming a fan.

Thanks, I'll start with Cerulean Salt.
I like Titanic Rising but the sound of her voice/way she sings is kinda boring
I am one of the fans who doesn't like his pop lane. You wanna know why? The reason I am disappointed by his pop tracks is because over 90% of them have little to absolutely no replay value on the long term. While on the rare occasions where he hit the formula right, I've praised him. I understand how maybe he thinks that if he "continued to give us what we fell in love with" (the mixtapes kind of music), he might be labeled a one trick pony. But he can do a hard rock/metal track like MJ's "Give In to Me", I don't give a f*** what genre. But in only one condition: make it a gorgeous track. A track/LP which still holds its replay value 6 or 10 years after release.
The reason you'll see me complaining is because I care^d, and I know he's able for so much more than what he half-assed in over 90% of the songs he dropped post KL.
Although as a fan I would love to have an album which is a level higher than the mixtapes (impossible how it may seem), an album to give Frank's cO and Blonde and Frank himself a run for his money. A concept album -- but aside from my selfish wishes, I would be super happy, exstatic to have a pop album like MJ's Thriller, or say, a more recent example, Bruno's 24K Magic. Bruno and MJ aimed to make the most concert-friendly, feel good sounding project possible.
You won't see me complain, if he dropped a 9-12 tracks LP, no more than 40min length, no filler all killer project filled with sunny tracks.
But to this day, almost 10 years in his career, a solid pop project which ticks the boxed above is yet to come.
