I’ve been jamming Pretty Years a lot lately
So good. You hear his Empty Country album from a couple years ago?

No, never heard of it. I’ll have to check it out.

Similar kinda of songwriting to the Cymbals albums but with an Americana sound, it rules
ob4cl is way better than reasonable doubt imo
i agree life after death is the best though
It is, I was just referring to that luxiourous sounding mafioso rap tracks that are on RD and LAD. OB4CL is grimy and raw in comparison
As for best 60s albums
for me it's probably (rock only)
Trout Mask Replica
Blonde On Blonde
VU & Nico
Piper At The Gates of Dawn
Doors
assumed beefheart was the one you agreed with
nah and im also taking trout mask over safe as milk

I'm also putting 13th floor elevators over a lot of things as you know
one day one of you will agree with me
You listen to other MPB/bossa nova artists?
Just had another Doors phase recently. Awesome band.
Manzarek has always been one of my idols on the keys.
When I was a teen I bought a fake Doors shirt in Bosnia. Sad thing is that shirt was of poor quality so it's useless these days.
s/t and Strange Days are def up there with the best albums of the 60s
Idk if it’s mentioned much but both those albums sound incredible too. The production on the debut especially is perfect for the vibe and late night atmosphere they were trying to create

Love this list man, nice reviews too

Def agree
I find it funny tho that despite it's title Moonlight Drive actually gives me that vibe the least out of all the songs on the first two albums
NO BASS
good god this is hilarious
especially that Jim Morrison style haircut.

thanks
Reasonable Doubt and Life After Death the best mafioso rap albums
OB4CL just as good but not quite as “rich” sounding. Like idk if it’s got a Sky’s the Limit or Politics As Usual
hmm OB4CL got too many hard joints on it. Prefer it to both of those.

I just wish it f***in came out in 1966 like it was supposed to
Honestly In The Court of The Crimson King is probably my favorite 60’s album outside of Pet Sounds. Trout Mask Replica, Blond On Blonde, Odyssey & Oracle, Forever Changes, and Velvet Underground & Nico all go hard but nothing sounds like Court. Epitaph is like the song of life. Ancient and futuristic at the same time.
good god this is hilarious
especially that Jim Morrison style haircut.
One of all time great sketch shows
Basically Monty Python by mild-mannered Canadians
wifey and i are splitting up after a decade, hardest thing i’ve ever been through by far. i’m hurting so badly rn, but it’s for the best and i’m excited to start the third chapter of my life.
