You're both lucky for that. I think making the time you have with him count is the best thing you can do.

I hate that I have time to consider what's the last movie I'm going to watch with my dad but he's heavily morphined then won't be able to do anything else

Frustrating because nurse gf here says if he lived close enough to a city with a pain clinic he could be exploring other options other than morphine which isn't working

Its pancreas which is apparently the most painful. it's already so bad he's pretty much ready to go and he hasnt even got his biopsy results or heard treatment options yet. He's six hours up north now but I still banter with him almost every day, nearly as much as with you guys. The older I got the more I felt like I was way too lucky to have a dad that I was this good of friends with and here were are. F***in gutted.

This f***ing sucks man I'm sorry

Thanks fam ill be alright but I feel terrible for my sister she barely survived a brain tumor a decade ago but did and has started a family with great difficulty afterwards. She just had her second kid at the beginning of December and literally walked in the door from the hospital with her baby to find out her husband's dad has aggressive cancer and he was gone by Christmas. Now it looks like her kids are gonna lose both grampas back to back. Yung Leonard just old enough to be aware of a grandpa but still I never got to meet my dad's dad and it always made me sad.

Broski i'm sorry to hear you and your fam are going through that. Illness can really put things into perspective, have to grateful to have those relationships and cherish them. Can only hope they make your dad comfortable and fight it.

Been watching some 70’s and 80’s bangers lately. Night Moves, Long Good Friday, and Pope of Greenwich Village. They don’t make them like that no more.

These are what the culture misses

Why? I’m not interested in rewatching but I still thought it was a quality watch. Especially the part where he goes to the hospital and gets the wrong guy

Idk just felt like some sheltered film nerd that never actually lived any sort of sketchy night life trying to convey a sketchy night life. Absolutely did not think they had a UG in them.

It’s the perfect midway point between Scorsese crime films in the 70’s and Tarantino crime films in the 90’s. Still Good Time was definitely influenced by it.
