The problem with what she’s saying is she’s making something specific seem like it’s general and not even providing sources lol

That new Big Thief album has some beautiful songs on it

It was exhausting in 2014 with “manspreading” then became a competition with how much of a non-issue one could create

It's really good but I feel like it's gunna go down like their other ones for me, where the highlights are f***ing incredible but over time the other tracks kinda have a diminishing impact and blur together a bit. A very good album but not the great one that they definitely have in them.

Still, those highlights are next level. Doubt many songs this year are topping Little Things, Flower of Blood, No Reason, Simulation Swarm

The vast bulk of my iTunes was added in crappy 128 back in the day and I slowly re-add favourites in lossless because there's definitely a lack of fidelity or whatever in headphones and stereo and car speakers. I'm convinced enough that it's not a placebo effect that Im willing to lose some of the playcounts I've been building since 2003

I'm no audiophile but it just doesn't sound as beefy and full sounding when cranked all the way up. It's crazy how good blu-ray sound is as well, I can turn that criterion Monterey Pop festival restoration literally all the way up and it sounds amazing

There's like 3 or 4 tracks on every album that I go back to over and over again, same on her most recent solo record. Not that everything else isn't good, but she's capable of magic when she wants to be
