Watched Last Temptation of Christ. Fantastic film but acting like Peter Gabriel’s score to that is better than his actual albums is a wild take.
Love Pete’s albums but the Christ score is endlessly more interesting because of it being all instrumental

Does anybody else find it kinda weird that L is only 4 letters away from P in the alphabet? They feel like they should be a lot farther

kinda but way different style of emotion so i wouldnt go expecting that. a lot of that probably just comes from the fact that they have a violin player and name dropped arcade fire before i think

Rec me some 70s Jazz. Been listening to Escalator over the hill a lot and am loving it
It's such an exhilarating record
Next stop should be imo Mingus' Let My Children Hear Music then.
Otherwise
Marion Brown - Afternoon of a Georgia Faun
McCoy Tyner - Sahara
McCoy Tyner - Extensions
Dave Holland - Conference of the Birds
Leroy Jenkins - Mass on the World
or you go for other Carla Bley compositions
the album is even longer than the movie. Except tense soundscapes tho rather than anything proggy.
ok it's not longer. wonder how I misremembered that

can i get an Aruji the Wise review of the 13th Floor Elevators debut? curious if it stands up to your standards of depth and craft
also why did you say "Aruji the Wise" is annoying? does it make you feel like our token wiseguy?
