a new start? https://twitch.tv/crychriscry
I guess we could have a cresh start. But idk, my trust is broken
:Denzel: tbbbbhhhhh it's the feel at emotion lol so many of my fave jams were recorded like s***
Not everything should sound perfect (i.e. Nirvana’s Nevermind)
man Charli XCX’s album from this year is so good, def one of my favorites. it’s consistent af outside of a couple of tracks, and the highs are so insanely high
opens with 7 classics back to back to back, how did she do it

You mean In Utero?
I will def say that "Follow God" hits pretty nice and is also one of the for sure highlights of the album for me so far
I love how he keeps spitting at the same pace even when the vocal sample kicks in and overlays Ye cause its just as loud as him

Nevermind did sound perfect though.. that's why they hated it lol
Good example. I fiddle with the bass and treble knobs in my car pretty much every song... Necessary unless you're listeng to something mastered by Flood or someone.
I never fiddle with anything. could never make up my mind as to which adjustment sounds better anyway
I should probably mess it with in my car though since it's kinda s***
you just being ridiculous now lmao
yeah I was exaggerating but the first listen still made me wince cuz I had it too loud listening to dusty s***
But this isnt the 50s, 60s, 70s, or 80s tho.
Tbh, there's no good reason for these songs not translating the same sound quality and levels as stuff like "I'm in It", "Only One", "FML", or "Waves" when played at similar volumes or setting.
Every time I've listened to "On God", I immediately think about how much more present and dynamic "Waves" sounds in comparison. They use similar build-ups and constant rapid fire elements, but "On God" sounds like I'm listening to it through a GameBoy Color, while "Waves" sounds like I'm in a commercial for Five Gum.
Waves only sounds marginally better to me tbh
also f*** Chris browns voice

fr why tf did he have to cite Waves of all songs to make his point lmao
Album sounds great for the most part, the problem is the lack of songwriting effort
"Told God I'll be back in a second"
"I'm just tryna say the way schools need teachers, the way Kathy Lee needed Regis; that's the way I need JESUS"
BEEN warned them
yo Sufi how you digging Days B4 III ??
I like it, not sure if i like his vocal inflections as much as on Freewave 3 tho. like sometimes it works and sometimes it sounds a bit awkward like on For the Betta

who cares about effort?
black sabbath paranoid is a very low effort song

There is no song as good as paranoid on here tho. And it's a well written song.
I think Selah is my least favorite

Thought we were talking classics
I think Selah is my least favorite
yeah i like it less than Water at this point
At least Water has that dope ass bassline

4 the Betta top 3 song on there. It's cool but not as good as Freewave 3. I think that's his best project. Freewave 2 and X are his most underrated tho

naaaa lmao that inflection where he’s mumbling a bit less than usual combined with the rhyme scheme in the chorus just sounds soooo f***ing awkward the more melodic ones are my favs. love the Keef homage in the cover too lmao classic.
oh yeah and i love Freewave 2, X is aight

X is where he started the Freewave style. Right when he made Lowlife. Which is crazy to think about because I remember the day he uploaded it to SoundCloud and his whole style changed. It's cool he talked about it in that last interview of his and it was , according to him, when he knew he found his style. Of course it was, he just channeled Max B.
For all the songs he has showing Keef/GBE luv and recording with Young Chop, surprised he never recorded with Fredo or Keef (at least to my knowledge)
Pinpointing an artist leveling up and changing his style in the middle of his career>>>

Chris Brown's hook on "Waves" is deadass one of my favorite moments of TLOP
