Noticed from the 70s lists most of us dont f*** with Zeppelin
I used to be a huge fan of Physical Graffiti but I had to admit that it's pretty uneven.

They're not terrible but it's way too f***ing wanky and I find most Zeppelin fans annoying. I remember Jack White saying he "doesn't trust anyone that doesn't like Led Zeppelin" and that about sums it up. Big f***in :rdjeyeroll:

i like a lot of their songs but yeah that’s not really something i listen to these days.
Rarely throw them on but Houses and Graffiti still goat
dumb band listen to damaged
Maybe that's been the hurdle that made punk so difficult to get into for me
maybe its something you had to experience in your youth but i know you'd be down with moshing as a teen. its s*** you never forget. total release. its awesome.

They’re the gateway band to classic rock for most people who grew up in the ‘90s or later, so it makes sense. I was like that when I went through my “music made after 1980 sucks” phase in junior high. I still dig them but they aren’t one of my favorites like they were back then.

Nah I've told you how we used to go to p**** ass punk shows in the 90s like Gob to mosh and scrap with the punks when we were all strictly rap heads and I was 90 pounds
I definitely enjoy a good mosh pit but that's not really dancing. I don't know if you guys mosh when you're by yourselves at home listening to punk records but I definitely dance when I'm at home listening to funk by myself.

no i dont mosh by myself at home lmao but nothing hits like a good riff. punk has the energy and you dig it or you dont i guess
its why i love Neurosis so much

Feel like that's a pretty tough phase to skip unless you had serious big sibling guidance or something

Theyre a gateway but also a band people put on a huge pedestal, like nothing is better. its weird

Legit just forgot. Zep is great. I and II are 60s though. So many projects I thought were going to make my list were like 68,69,80,81,82 lol

If I had heard the British stuff back then I would probably have developed more of a punk appetite but it didn't happen. Green Day turned me off the whole thing when I was like 10.

Brit punk is generally s*** unless its Discharge and Green Day
Listen to My War and Pain of Mind for the s*** I'm talking about

Yeah Dave Grohl, Jack Black etc loudly put them on that annoying pedestal that really only the kinks should be on 🧐

Ironically would take Nirvana, the Foos and Tenacious D any day over Led Zeppelin

I have and its too straightforward and aggressive for me. I prefer the tuneful harmonies and broader sonic palette of the British stuff.
