On that new Angel Olsen album there’s a song called All The Flowers and it’s probably my favorite. It was immediately beautiful, sad, and very familiar. The melody sounds like some old fashioned song that’s always existed or something. The more I hear it though I’m thinking it’s drawing from something specific, any idea? I asked somewhere else and someone said Canon in D which has been sampled a lot and that’s the closest I think, but I’m still thinking it’s something more specific. Never realized Ladies & Gentleman We’re Floating In Space also sampled that.
