We should attempt a 50’s one at some point if only to force people to listen to more s*** and maybe we’ll discover some hidden gems along the way. It’s probably the decade we’re all the least familiar with besides Elric.
the issue is that the album wasn't a 'thing' in the 50s like it became in the 60s with Bob Dylan. Lots of 50s albums were just collections of an artists hits.

There’s plenty of good hits collection then and there’s also plenty of jazz records and weird stuff like Moon Dog.

Most of us in here talk about making a list of favorites first and then doing relistens to confirm placements and also branching out to stuff we haven’t heard yet. Then making a final list from all that.

I’d be more interested in the top 50 singles of the ‘50s than albums
