I agree. If we canceled every musician from the 60s or 70s for doing or saying something racist, most of them would be 'canceled'. Could you imagine an artist today doing the Thin White Duke character?
The 70’s were interesting, a lot of attempts to try and reclaim or fetishize fascist aesthetics.

If he was drunk that just means he was expressing how he really feels and usually has to hide. Like I said I already thought he was boring before I found out about this but it definitely compounded hate.
I’ve never agreed with the idea that drunk behavior is who you really are. That being said there really isn’t any excuse for what he said.

Yeah nobody actually cares about any of these things. This kind of stuff always just conveniently comes out as a point when they do something political. Like he was skeptical of vaccines or something and then immediately that got drudged up. Same with the Neil Young quote I posted as a counter example. That only got brought up again when Young boycotted Spotify.
