IBM did something with the Holocaust, at least according to Kubrick
Are you talking about a theory laid forth through the imagery of Space Odyssey
One thing you gotta give them is they were technically the first humans to break free of earth. Like testing rockets that actually left the atmosphere.

Ah yes "one thing you gotta give the Nazis", one of my favorite games
Wasn't that Sputnik anyway?
Wym
Like Greek and Roman aesthetics can be remixed and used in a modern context without being immediately associated with dictatorships. 20th Century fascist aesthetics are so recent that any attempt to use them in a different context is understandably perceived as offensive. I’m saying how long until we’re so far removed from their original context that they can be used for something else.

Sputnik was the first satellite. Germany was the first to break the earths atmosphere. We stole all their scientists anyway. NASA is basically just an extension of their rocket program.
Oh c’mon
I'm willing to give plenty of accomplishments to the German people
showing the whole world how to do cinema properly before the Nazis whomst hate art took power

Well that’s because they’re not credited with it publicly because we don’t want to give them credit as your initial reaction reinforces.

You trying to bring back togas and tunics? Not sure what you mean. Architecturally I think we're probably already there.
How about Music. Bands. Songs. All of that good stuff.
I'm halfway through an eisenstein propaganda film from 1929 called the general line which mythologizes cows and farming to a hilarious degree
but then less funny when you know how collectivization panned out

I posted a whole bunch of stuff in the best songs thead today but nobody's talking to me about them
I wish that Weezer stan was still on here cause this was a great little discovery. Someone totally transformed one of their lesser albums into something really compelling. He would have eaten this up.
