i’ve stayed away from these Grimes singles cuz i wanted the album to be fresh on first listen, but i saw that she said the newest one “Delete Forever” was inspired by Lil Peep’s death so out of curiosity i listened. MAN that’s a great song, i’m so hyped for this album now.

I don’t think there’s such a thing as a necessary counter to what people generally like, but I get what you’re saying. Also I just don’t see what’s such a drop in quality from Lonerism to Currents other than that Currents is the one that made them mainstream.

Wouldn’t say clear improvement, they’re both equally brilliant to me within their respective genres.
