Nu-metal at least gave us bands like Deftones and Slipknot

There are a few gems in there for sure but I can't think of any other (guitar) music wave where I just hated most of it

Only one for me is that faux-prog s*** that was popular in the mid-late 70s. Journey, Kansas, Styx, etc.

Oliver Stone’s Doors movie is so f***ing underrated. It’s crazy something this surreal was a widely released Hollywood film.

I dig it Oliver was in his bag.

Just started The Great Race (1965) and this Henry Mancini song playing in the opening credits is so damn good

I used to have an irrational hatred of the Doors but I revisited the debut and I think it’s gonna be pretty damn high on my 60’s list. I’ve always loved the movie so that isn’t what made me have the change in opinion.

Most inaccurate thing in the Doors movie is the woman playing Nico has big ol juggs. The whole scene though where Morrison is hanging out with Andy Warhol and Nico while Venus In Furs is playing rocks.

Who would have thought Stone co-wrote the Madonna musical Evita

This is great. It’s so funny to hear Depeche Mode and The Pixies referred to as new and The Doors as vintage where as like now that would be like calling My Bloody Valentine vintage.

My old roommate was a huge fan of it but i only ever watched a few skits with him. He was also the guy who introduced me to Mitchell & Webb's different sketch shows, and we watched pretty much every episode of those together

I meant to get to this when I did a big musician biopic binge last year but I ended up just focusing on all the 50s early 60s guys and forgot about Doors. Now that it's 1967
