Podcasts killed the allure of stand-up specials
I can go back to bits from that special more than most podcast clips. It’s really that good. The audience component helps. I love seeing a great comic get an audience to an awkward or uncomfortable place and then win them back over. There’s an art to that.
I generally try not to go too expensive on anything but f*** I love wearing some nice fancy new clothes out
it’s 100% one of my favorite feelings

Accurate for Bill Burr but tbh I always thought his stand ups were weak compared to his interviews and stuff
Did Bob say it sounded too much like him?
"4th Time Around" has been seen as either a playful homage, or a satirical warning to Lennon about co-opting Dylan's well-known songwriting devices. Lennon expressed a range of opinions on this topic in interviews between 1966 and 1980. Initially, he felt it to be a somewhat pointed parody of "Norwegian Wood", due particularly to the line ("I never asked for your crutch / Now don't ask for mine.") which played into his apparent paranoia about Dylan in 1966–67 because he interpreted it as a warning not to use Dylan's songs as a "crutch" for his own songwriting. Later, however, he changed his opinion on the track to become more favourable when he considered Dylan's effort to be more a playful homage"

Oh yeah you’re right lol
Ive never really gone deep with singer songwriters except for john prine...that style of music i cant connect with for whatever reason...basement tapes is easily my favorite dylan
Neil young being so big on the 70s lists was crazy to me but i wont be shocked by all the dylan..i get it
Oh yeah you’re right lol
I was howling several times really good
definitely smokes any standup I've seen in a while

No that’s not what the debate was over. I acknowledged multiple times that he was a bad president and shouldn’t be President and should be in jail for war crimes. I just said he was funny. Gillis seems to agree with that. He also thinks he’d be the funniest to see get assassinated. I also agree with that lol.
