dude stop being weird and elitist just cuz you never played COD
and if you never played em, how are you trying to correct what someone who has played them is saying???
COD kids seemed like little a******s I'm sorry
I know what the games are like it's not like I didn't see them

i mean trust me, a lot of them were def a******s
but it’s cuz violent games naturally attract some of those kinds of people. it’s still mostly just normal folks messing around on it tho, don’t think having/not having played COD says anything about a person other than they like/dislike FPS games lol
then you saw the campaigns which are exactly what he was describing?

I don't know to me war films and action films are separate things. They definitely seem like high octane war films.
I could not have played more GoldenEye or Halo growing up but there's just something offputtingly propegandic about the straight military ones, especially when kids just play online mindlessly killing each other for years of their childhood.
Apparently there are studies that say there's no link the rise of school shootings and s*** but I don't believe it for one second. Columbine boys were literally Doom modders.
I already had a weird feeling about it and then a few kids I knew who grew up playing it joined the military purely because they thought cod was awesome. I'm not 100% against the military and one of them seems to be doing well with it but still he was a hyper spazzy baby on COD so it's a little worrisome.

well i am 99.99% against the military, and i still play COD cuz it’s fun
games have been about defeating your enemies since the dawn of time lol. this one’s no different just cuz they look like people and have some real weapons.
that’s funny you mention Doom lol that game was all just jumping around killing monsters anyways bro, and was also one of the most popular games ever when it dropped so OF COURSE THE COLUMBINE KIDS PLAYED IT
you should blame stuff like that on the mishandling of mental illness, not the games they’re playing man cmon
Doom was actually one of my first favorite games as a young young child, super easy to just move around and shoot so my mom would let me play it on her laptop when I was like 4-5. Used to play that s*** for hours at a time, and I never shot anyone
and think of all the other people who play these games and don’t end up doing weird s*** lol.
nobody joins the f***ing military cuz of COD either bro wtf
you’re either making that up or you were friends with the dumbest motherfuckers in town, and they were gunna enlist with or without COD

Yeah I'm saying I played a lot of those games (including Wolfenstein and Doom) but the straight military ones are creepy to me. Their popularity is a literal dream for the military industrial complex, dictators of old that only wanted to produce war films for the people would be jealous as s***. Well adjusted people are going to be fine with them but there's a lot of people who aren't well adjusted.

Your edit
yeah I'm making it up
Didn't say they were my friends I said they were little a****** cod players. My ex's little brother joined the British Marines or whatever 100% because he was the cod master spazz.
i saw a clip from Gran Turismo 7 and it looked like a PS2 game
only racing game i play these days is Forza Horizon 5
Nah..GT7 is really great. The cars look amazing...but i will give u some of the background in the tracks look like a ps2 game
COD4 is a classic...one of the best games ever made...the issue is they didnt change much in like a decade after...but warzone was a big step up and they keep it fresh
Gt7 driving physics/feel is maybe the best a racing game has ever felt to me...its a joy to play

you sounding a lil tipper gore here buddy...a game is a game
Rise in mass shootings can be way more attributed to internet/modern isolation/americas ACTUAL wars of destruction its waged the last 20 years
Americas violent thuggery on the world stage the last 50 years has way more of an effect on the psyche of the young american male than videogames...call of duty is popular worldwide in every country

Yeah exactly when do you think this modern isolation began
I'm saying I remember exactly when it happened and it grossed me out because I liked sitting with my boys
Of course it's the other things you named as well

Yes there's definitely something in the water down there
Like...the way america has manhandled these smaller countries over and over with its overwhelming military/intelligence apparatus...guatemala/italy/iraq/nicaragua/congo/afghanistan/etc.....to me there is a direct link between that and dudes shooting up schools...overwhelming firepower against an "enemy" that has no chance of fighting back
Also show playcounts
i listened to downloaded versions of these for years before i bought the cd's so the play counts are not accurate

Looking forward to this panda bear/sonic boom album tonight..."Sharing equal billing for the first time, longtime collaborators Noah Lennox and Peter Kember achieve an intoxicating mind meld over a sample-heavy tribute to 1960s pop"

Post this in politics sxn
@Elric You'd probably hate it but Boris named a song after your favorite movie ^
This album rips, its like Boris channeled GISM and those Jap thrash/hardcore vibes

I haven't really warmed to anything AnCo related in like a decade but the singles for this have both been great so I'm pretty hyped
