i mean trust me, a lot of them were def a******s but it’s cuz violent games naturally attract some of those kinds of people. it’s still mostly just normal folks messing around on it tho, don’t think having/not having played COD says anything about a person other than they like/dislike FPS games lol

I don't know to me war films and action films are separate things. They definitely seem like high octane war films.

I could not have played more GoldenEye or Halo growing up but there's just something offputtingly propegandic about the straight military ones, especially when kids just play online mindlessly killing each other for years of their childhood.

Apparently there are studies that say there's no link the rise of school shootings and s*** but I don't believe it for one second. Columbine boys were literally Doom modders.

I already had a weird feeling about it and then a few kids I knew who grew up playing it joined the military purely because they thought cod was awesome. I'm not 100% against the military and one of them seems to be doing well with it but still he was a hyper spazzy baby on COD so it's a little worrisome.

well i am 99.99% against the military, and i still play COD cuz it’s fun games have been about defeating your enemies since the dawn of time lol. this one’s no different just cuz they look like people and have some real weapons.

that’s funny you mention Doom lol that game was all just jumping around killing monsters anyways bro, and was also one of the most popular games ever when it dropped so OF COURSE THE COLUMBINE KIDS PLAYED IT you should blame stuff like that on the mishandling of mental illness, not the games they’re playing man cmon

Doom was actually one of my first favorite games as a young young child, super easy to just move around and shoot so my mom would let me play it on her laptop when I was like 4-5. Used to play that s*** for hours at a time, and I never shot anyone and think of all the other people who play these games and don’t end up doing weird s*** lol.

i saw a clip from Gran Turismo 7 and it looked like a PS2 game only racing game i play these days is Forza Horizon 5

Gt7 driving physics/feel is maybe the best a racing game has ever felt to me...its a joy to play

Like...the way america has manhandled these smaller countries over and over with its overwhelming military/intelligence apparatus...guatemala/italy/iraq/nicaragua/congo/afghanistan/etc.....to me there is a direct link between that and dudes shooting up schools...overwhelming firepower against an "enemy" that has no chance of fighting back
