That 90s list is nuts...the good son number 1 is crazy to me
I thought Loveless was a shoe in. But that album had just enough pure haters to keep it from hitting that top spot
I was sleeping on Colin Blunstone’s second album. He really needs to be rediscovered like Big Star and Nick Drake were.
Crazy how some people only get discovered long after their death
Imagine talking to Van Gogh's ghost and telling him he's one of the most famous artists in the world. He'd be like "ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME
"

I dont hate Loveless but I do think ranking it #1 of the 90s is ridiculous so I probably contributed to that

Edgar Allen Poe died poor, unknown and sick

His wife also died of tuberculosis which led to his alcoholism. Grim life.

He's talking about the guy who sang She's Not There and Time Of The Season in this case and The Zombies are properly regarded as British Invasion and psychedelic icons. The solo albums are cool but not enough to burgeon a new cult classic legend or anything.

I don't know about any of that I was just talking forgotten/rediscovered people in general

Nevermore

Yes they are. They’re that good. Even the Apple Music description of the second album suggests the same thing should happen. I also just watched a list today of the best albums of 1972 and it made the persons top 10 and they said the same. You also don’t like Nick Drake so your sensibilities as to what should result in this kinda revaluation are kinda off.

Dude if you tell me an apple music description or YouTubers video or podcasters opinion or whatever as a source again
stop that
Singer songwriter albums of the 60s and 70s are what I was raised on and are still my bread and budder so you're never gonna convince me of anything that way. Just tell me your opinion.
Also I went deep on Argent and Blunstone solo albums like 10 years ago I know how good they are
Apple Music description will find something great to say about literatally any album. Is that really being used as a selling point in this thread of all places

Exactly

A selling point for what? Do you even know what we’re talking about?
Exactly
The multi-talented Jake Paul wasn't just your regular Vine/Disney star. He and his brother Logan shed their once one-dimensional personas and expanded onto other platforms and Jake Paul's hit single "It's Everyday Bro" is exemplary of Jake's successful foray into the music world. Backed by his Team 10 entourage, Jake and his squad prove to the world why they're the best in the biz. How often can we expect this kinda legendary output? Um, it's everyday, bro.

Read enough of the conversation to know that 'Apple Music agrees with my opinion' is not a valid talking point or argument for anything.

That’s not what I referenced the Apple Music description for. So yes you don’t know what we’re talking about.

you literally said Apple Music suggests that a certain artist should get more recognition (lining up with your opinion), which you then tried to use as a reason for personal validity in response to Elric not agreeing that it was worthy of some sorta re-discovery.
Fidelio: "this artist deserves more recognition or re-appraisal"
Elric: "I disagree and here's why"
Fidelio: "Well, Apple Music and some dumb YouTube video agree with me"

No. I said that the artist should be reevaluated like Big Star and Nick Drake. That’s not using a description to back up the quality of the record. It’s simply saying it’s in a similar vain to artists who were rediscovered. I used it to say that multiple sources from reviewers to platforms have suggested the potential for a similar rediscovery. That isn’t me using a source to say “this album is good, you should like it more cause they say so”. It’s just me highlighting that the possibility of it gaining a second life isn’t only something I’d thought up.

There’s a reason why every other site I talk music on is significantly more friendly and I will have more productive conversations. Blame your depression again, but it’s just eye rolling c***yness all the time.
