What were you on last? The Fragile?

Listen to the Still EP before you hit the next album

The craft is still there but man do they sound uninspired on Hail To The Thief the only time they sound like theyre just doing a job and don't actually have anything urgent to express

it was the biggest grower for me. but it does feel like they were trying to make it intentionally unpalatable at times

im taking it over a few of their others for sure

The Downward Spiral, but mostly the second half. Everything from "A Warm Place" and after is

Decided to delete Pablo Honey cause won't ever listen to it so that doesn't exist to me anymore

after Amnesiac, Radiohead were just on cruise control for the next 3 albums tbh. I won't hear any arguments for overrated ass In Rainbows. Decent album but man is it f***ing overhyped. awesome cover though

Another album that still can't get enough acclaim imo. Tapped into a new style that year.

  • Ok computer / amnesiac / kid a the holy trinity, dont really give a s*** about the rest

Aphex talking s*** about Radiohead in the 90s was

Your music has been hugely influential. One of the more prominent musicians who’ve said that they’ve been inspired by your records are Radiohead? Did you listen to any of their last two album "Kid A" and "Amnesiac“?

I don’t like them. I heard maybe five or six tracks and I thought they sounded really really cheesy.

    Cheesy?

Yeah, really obvious and cheesy. I mean I’m just comparing it to my favourite music and I think it’s terrible compared to that. But compared to all the s*** boring R&B tracks it’s probably alright. Compared to those teen punk sort of bands or whatever they are supposed to be called, who think that they are really anarchic and stuff like that, they are probably amazing. If you’re only exposed to that kind of stuff and then Radiohead come along you will probably think that they are geniuses.

Yeah I mean they're like Elvis, Beatles, Bowie, Kanye etc in that they take edgy esoteric genres most people haven't heard of let alone heard and turn them into universal pop music that can move people across the globe. I see his point of view but too many people end up going deeper into those genres as a result to hate imo.
