It's alright. Feels more like diet-Murnau than a typical Tod banger exploring the dregs of society.

  • Nov 26, 2022

Thought Bela was a way more enjoyable and dastardly villian in this one I just watched. Felt like the Tod zone.

Bela's cool but I prefer Martin Landau as Bela than actual Bela

Bela didn't branch out into gangster films like Karloff did was Muni's rival bootlegger in the og Scarface

    Karloff was also the Grinch

The last Karloff movie I saw he was a sad circus clown that fell in love with his daughter, then he offs himself at the end. It was pretty weird.

you tryna fight him on horse? All his attacks are easier to dodge on foot, plus I remember him being super weak to bleed dmg.

you may also be underleveled, which big bosses have you beaten besides Godrick & what’s your weapon lvl?

    I'm level 79

Depend on my Bloodhound Fang+6 which causes blood loss buildup (is that bleed damage?) Hammered him pretty hard with Meteorites from my Meteorite Staff which got him down to half health but I'm just so rusty and sloppy also defeated Margit but I can't remember who else

did you beat Rennala the moon lady? if not, i’d recommend heading to Liurnia, grabbing the gate key behind the frost dragon, and hitting that up first. but since you’re level 79 the Draco is definitely possible to beat, probably just a matter of facing him a few more times to shake off the rust and learn the move set

I liked Nightmare Alley honestly. I’m a sucker for carnival aesthetics.

The other difference too is all the walking on eggshells we have to do nowadays so nobody is offended. A major studio even moreso is worried about this when financing comedy

The best comedy nowadays is honestly off YouTube at this point. TV ain’t even funny

I mean its hard to imagine great comics from the past being able to say their bits today, what was considered provocative is now offensive on a moral level. Besides cancel culture goes further than just comedy to where if you disagree with someone you could get "canceled".

Pryor could still do his edgiest routine no problem because he was never punching down and his empathy was apparent. Don Rickles? Probably not. I doubt he would choose to retire instead of working within modern boundaries though. Like Katt says nobody likes them but they exist for a reason.

Getting "cancelled" for disagreeing with someone sounds pretty vague but I'm sure its always existed with another name like discredit or something.

  • Nov 26, 2022

real question how many people have been effectively cancelled that were actually worth a s***?

Tbh I forgot so much I'm very tempted to restart with a different build. I saw you raging many times about how people that b**** about the difficulty arent taking advantage of all the systems available with a magic build and I'm curious what exactly I could be doing I tried Radahn a few times and he was kicking the absolute s*** out of me

I think this is just bullshit though. It's art. You should be able to express anything you want. You should know better than anyone since you're an Elvis fan and you know what cancel culture did to that man and how he was exploited due to it.

Comedy is meant to push boundaries and it's easily the most difficult art form because it literally is built on people taking swings in the dark repeatedly. When you try to put a line on that, it severely limits the artform and that's why there ain't anything funny anymore. We went from Superbad to Booksmart. That says it all

Explain to me how "cancel culture" and not f***ing Colonel Tom ruined Elvis?

Colonel Tom used cancel culture to control Elvis. If art was truly free and expressive, Elvis would have no reason to keep Tom around and just see his ideas as bad.

lowkey that might be the move. when i made a new character and replayed the game basically felt like new again lol did a bunch of different s*** i’d missed too.

na you might be confusing me with one of the other Elden Ring defenders with that argument, but the one thing i have consistently said is that mfs will be underleveled af without any direction as to which stats they’re leveling, then complain how the tougher bosses are impossible. doesn’t apply to you though since you seem to be healthily overleveled cuz of all your exploring.

Magic builds can be a lot of fun through most of the game, but majority of spells are either not good against the late game bosses or will 1 shot them and take the fun out lmao. In general, though, there are probably a million different viable builds/classes, I always just go with whatever makes sense with the equipment/items I end up finding on the journey. first playthrough I beat the game with no weapon but a max lvl scythe and the big soul arrow spell lmao
