I feel like I have barely posted here in the past few months. Even before I got this new job, I was mostly active in the Film, Kino, and Life sxns and wasn't in Fam thread much. But with this new job, I'm barely on here period, or on my phone/the internet in general tbh.

It's always nice to not be compelled to open up certain sites or apps every time I unlock my phone, even as someone who didn't use typical social media apps in the first place.

But i do miss you guys, just kicking the s*** and having debates and laughs in here. I definitely dont want the friendships I've made with all you guys over the past decade to just become another "group of people i talked to on the internet every single day for a very long time that i move on from and never speak to again" — like I did with two different groups of people back in the old Xbox Live days lol.

It's funny that i feel more connected and loyal to the Fam crew here than I ever did with the strangers i would audibly speak to for 6+ hours every single day for significant portion of my life on Xbox Live lol.

Definitely gonna be active in the 60s results thread as always, for sure.

You get around to There Are But Four? I'm convinced it has a unique spot in history as being the best album written, produced and played by the youngest lads. Insane that this combo of 5'4 lads who were barely out of their teenage years were writing s*** like Tin Soldier and I'm Only Dreaming plus all the incredible deep cuts.

Curious if anybody can come up with another example

Aphex is awesome. Thought so since I was a littler skater punk kid. Never understood the aversion to it.

I think I came across Aphex videos once or twice but mainly remembered his freaky goddamn smiling face more than the music. I liked Fatboy Slim largely cause these videos were so odd (I'd find out about f***ing Spike Jonze later)

But we always had this God damn show on our music channel called electric circus with these hopped up weirdos dancing in a warehouse and I figured all electronic music listeners were like that so that was was my aversion lol;

Yeah second phase of Radiohead's career sounds very influenced by Aphex and also Bjork. Also krautrock.
