Feel like I've s*** on the 70s a lot so you might be thinking of somebody else.
Was mostly a joke. Every decade has amazing offerings. But it is my least favorite of the 20th century and maybe even lower than 2000s

Agreed but also there have been a couple times where pretty much everybody was trying to sound as wild as possible with all of their singles and s***. Other times the general style shifts to something more traditional and/or refined which could be construed as less outwardly creative.

You're right just listen to the 90s

You should listen to the Yuta Matsumura album from last year, some big 70s Eno vibes especially in its second half

Nah, they are honestly a tad too hard for me to listen to it casually but each time I listen to it's quite a blast.

Yeah they tend to blow out speakers but they're pretty awesome. You'd probably dig their lyrical/topical s*** though, it's very Godfleshy. They're from Birmingham after all.

60s obviously but also 80s synthpop/post punk bands which transitioned into early 90s madchester and all that. Basically the pot/acid/ecstasy inspired music lol The cocaine/heroin/booze eras are cool too but less creative in the kaleidoscopic sense.

The earlier artists are always gonna appear more creative/innovation, because there’s only so many sounds you can make. By the time you get to the 2000s everything had been done already.

It’s really hard to compare one decade to another, especially with music. Each generation wants their own sound.

The ‘60s followed trends like any other decade did, but they felt like the most symbiotic then and got further and further away from each other as time went on. Especially going forward from the ‘90s.

There was a technology and economic curve as well. There's no way they were going to be able to pull off the type of studio wizardry nor be alotted the the of studio time required to experiment until a few key artists showed how big the returns could be.

once again i will advocate for the 1966-1975 decade
