Broski I was just thinkin its crazy how distinct and different the 70's and 80's were in film. Like the 70's artistic merit and quality is staggering but the 80's had so much style and personality.
One major difference is rural Americana in the 1970s vs cities and suburbs in the 1980s

Didn't they start shooting a lot of stuff on video in the '80s? Made things look a bit cheaper but made the process literally cheaper so indies could get more experimental or something

S*** tbh I can't really think of an 80's film shot on video
