just read Sly wanted to be in the actual band when he was producing the first couple Beau Brumels albums but one of their dads wouldn't allow it
@RVI @twinkletoez
this is pretty good

Sly with Beau Brummels, Rick James and Neil Young in Buffalo Springfield, and Billy Preston replacing Paul McCartney could’ve changed the idea of rock and soul music combined

Sly still gets credit for doing it tbh
Sir Douglas Quintet might've been the first biracial band but they weren't near as huge as The Family Stone and didnt have women either. Sly tore down all racial/genre/gender barriers.

Sly writing songs with an established rock band would’ve been different though. More genre fusion that the family Stone which leans more funk.
I will have College Dropout still pretty high but probably nerf my MBDTF vote and leave it at 2 albums for my list
my inclusion will probably be yeezus

probably either way a year later he'd be like

Hendrix with the Isley Brothers is another Massive what-if
@Elric sly could make Beau-friendly songs

my inclusion will probably be yeezus
I think alot of people's top inclusion will be Yeezus. Personally it's a middle of the pack album from Ye imo

he probably could've funked this country tune up a bit and beat George to the punch with inventing P-Cunt

Ranking FAM's top 1 pick of every decade now that there is a canonized list of every decade on here (which was my goal, every list now is bonus content)
1. The Good Son
2. VU&Nico
3. The College Dropout
4. Fun House or MBDTF
5. ' '
6. Disintegration (still really good! Just my personal opinion! No bad #1's)
MBDTF
Disintegration
VU&N
College Dropout
Fun House
The Good Son
All really good albums but Good Son is the one where I'm like what why when I see it at the top of a list. There are several Nick Cave albums alone that I like more.

Exactly how I feel about Disintegration. I kinda understand why tho, its more of a "I wish it hit that hard for me".
