the vibe i got before was that he had extreme stage fright and was flakey, but this is just blatant s***headism
He's been treating his fans like this for years
I've already played the album twice today so far.
Its extremely respectable that this dude made a 34 track album in current year that never slogs, and the sequencing is perfectly done so it never feels like you're hearing several similar songs in a row.
Definitely scratches certain nostalgic itches for me too. Lots of stuff on this album sounds like things me and friends listened to a lot in grade school. Country i grew up with, obviously — but then there's bits where he sounds like several poppier singer-songwriters from the 2000s i rarely listen to nowadays.
And im not even really trying to compare him to others because dude definitely stands on his own with his songwriting and arrangements. I especially love all the upbeat tracks on this that sound like a local small town band playing a honky-tonk two step jam with great lyrics. But the ballads on the album are just as great too.
whew real
its a 10/10 for me. and crazy how he also dropped a great EP, a few great singles and a great live album the same year too. historic year for a musician
its amazing that he managed to become a big success, that album is platinum and Something in the Orange (single version) cracked into the billboard top 10 even tho its a folky country song with no drums
im seeing him on his arena tour this year, hes amazing live

This dude is totally one of those Yakuza npcs that starts s*** with you on the sidewalk
Put him in my top 15 fav singers just from that one album
he was already in my top ten but I probably moved him up a few spots when FEIM finally sunk in
like Iggy Pop said, Elvis was the Cadillac of vocalists

His stuff just hits, the songwriting is so good. His music comes up on shuffle all the time now and he truly doesn’t have a bad song.

I think it was a 50/50 shot for you tbh.
That part in Right Now the Best when it sounds like he starts laughing during the line:
"I think ive got a song that you'll like
It's awfully long and such a throatful
But its perfect for a night like tonight"
He got jokes
please give me that throatful zach
