Stankonia>Aquemini?? Liking Aquemini less and Stankonia a bit more these days. Both kinda flawed with inferior guests and Andre-less songs. Both very innovative in their high points. Digging the funkiness and crossover pop appeal of Stankonia lately. Def the twin towers of Kast records

yeah stankonia overtook it for me a few years ago and i never looked back. goat hip hop album

Do you have any interest in a career in graphic design at all? The amount of care you put into this stuff has definitely developed a skill that can translate into eventual income.

If you dont already, you should browse around for some cool visual and graphic design books and read them from time to time. Dont search on Amazon cause unless you know specifically which book you're looking for, your search will be inundated with s***ty books published in the last 5 years that barely even qualify as design resources.

If you go looking, try to focus on graphic design books/catalogs released in the 70s-early 90s. There are a bunch of commercially released exhibition and overview-type books of specific styles and trends during those decades that have retained relevance and are better than most actual textbooks on the subject. If you see a book you like, search for it on ebay for cheap, or find it from a secondhand seller on amazon.

All this talk about Stankonia makes me want to relisten to it. I remember feeling that it was a bit scattered but I haven't given that album a fair listen in about 10 years.

collaborations with Laurel Halo, Sylvan Esso, Actress, Animal Collective, Weyes Blood etc.. At first I thought he wanted to appeal to the Indie Hipster crowd but the album comes off more organic than I thought. Art Pop but with heavy Ambient vibes.

Love those British underworld movies where everybody inexplicably knows eachother, from the bosses to the street urchins this one sits nicely between the og Italian Job and early Guy Ritchie

Also Hoskins is one of my childhood goats after watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit a million times so it's always great to see him in something else from back in the day

I liked From Elvis in Memphis on first listen. The country songs were a bit samy but the soul cuts were Top Tier Elvis. I'd say I def like it better than the debut.
