Yeah my pops always told me it was classic but aside from the painterly cinnamontography and an uncharacteristically good performance from Keith Carradine it really is about nothing but duelling
doesn't quite rise to the Napoleonic grandeur it's strives for but it was Ridley's first film so it's still pretty impressive. Keitel playing an 18th century Hungarian Hussar troop as an Italian immigrant thug was pretty funny.
