These are good ones to start with I think. Less unwieldly than his early books but not quite as refined as the later ones. Horses is really good but The Crossing a masterpiece, top 3 McCarthy with Blood Meridian and Suttree imo.

Im just not attracted to bone racks. Deep down her evolutionary signifiers are telling me she would be a bad mate who would crank out unhealthy babies if any. Not that I want to procreate at all but that's what forms my taste I reckon.
